# What to do when RPC is slow/not connecting?

If you’re having trouble on any RPC (node) on DeFi networks, you can try alternative URL’s. This can happen when chains have lots of activity and a node gets overloaded - we usually call this congestion.

Here is a [proper speedtest tool for RPC’s](https://speedtest.edennetwork.io/) powered by Eden Network.

[ChainList](https://chainlist.org/) also shows the latency to the most common RPCs.

CoinTool has multiple RPC links by default and includes information about the current ping (ms) to each server. **Lower is better.**
