# What is groupmode?

By default, Rick’s footer\[1\] shows data from within your group (meaning groupmode is enabled by default). The hit count 👀 is always based on global data\[2\].

# Global data

Do you want to see global data rather than group data? Try `/groupmode off` - now you will see global data.

Global data will usually show `[anon]`, or the username if the user is not anon. If a [clantag :telegram:](https://talk.markets/t/clans-for-telegram/2656) is set, the clantag of the group where it was first seen is shown.
