# Getting started

- DM [@RickBurpBot](https://t.me/RickBurpBot) or add [to a group directly](https://telegram.me/RickBurpBot?startgroup=strgrp)
- In group chats, give **admin** , **delete** and **pin** about [permissions](https://talk.markets/t/setting-up-rick-on-telegram/1107#p-5433-permissions-3)

# Quick tips

**To start, some setup basics and tips to get you started.**

- 🤖 [Rick AI](https://talk.markets/t/chatting-with-rick/3854) only listens to @mentions and “Rick” _(capital R)_
- 🗒 Requesting [chat summaries](https://talk.markets/t/chat-summaries/3443) or [TLDR’s](https://talk.markets/t/tldr-anything/3441)
- 🗑 Reply with `X` to a message (within a minute) from Rick (or your own) to quickly delete it. Rick needs to have permissions to delete messages for this to work.
- 🎯 [Tokens are still tracked](https://talk.markets/t/active-token-tracking-for-communities/1326) in the background when the **autoresponder** is turned **off**.
- ⚠ **/anon off** will have your members appear in the [global leaderboards](https://talk.markets/t/global-leaderboards-known-as-burpboard/1466) (default is **on** ). Private (DM) checks are always `[anon]`.

# Permissions

**Admin**  
Needed to respond to contracts, $cashtags and most AI chatbot/summary features, if you don’t need these features, most commands can still be used **without** admin permissions.

**Send messages and media**  
Under restrictions, make sure Rick can send messages & media.

**Delete/pin messages**  
Also optional, but used for cleaning up some messages + reminders/pings/summaries
