NEAR is a **Layer 1 blockchain** designed for high performance and developer-friendly dApps, using a unique sharding technology called Nightshade to scale efficiently. It offers low fees, fast transactions, and supports smart contracts written in **Rust** or **JavaScript**.

# Connecting

NEAR does not work with MetaMask, instead you can use [MyNearWallet](https://app.mynearwallet.com/) or use one of the other wallets below. You can withdraw NEAR from CEX or [bridge](https://talk.markets/t/68?silent=true) using the solutions below.
