# How to force-update Google Chrome/Chromium browsers?

# Method 1

Click on the 3 dots in the top right corner \> **Help** \> **About Google Chrome** , let it **update** and **relaunch**.

# Method 2

Copy/paste this in your address bar to get to the same page as method 1.

```

# Method 3

If the update is already downloaded:

- **Green** : Represents an update that was published less than 48 hours ago.
- **Orange** : Indicates a Chrome update was disseminated approximately 4 days ago.
- **Red** : Signifies that a Chrome update was issued a minimum of a week ago.

Note: If you observe these colors around your user avatar in the right top bar, it is advisable to restart your browser.
